One of the most pleasant periods of the racing year is watching aspiring talents making their seasonal bows and being put to the test. Already this week we have had 2 hugely promising horses excelling. Fantasia was superb (albeit in weak field) and one wonders how far she will go and will she master middle distances? Delegator was also obviously impressive justifying connection's opinions but was left with impression that he raced like a sprinter rather than a true miler. Time will tell! One other nice winner was High Heeled at Newbury on Friday.
It is difficult to ignore Bolger pair at Newbury today. Having already mentioned Vocalised and following his decent win last time, make him nap of day. Maoineach on the other hand can be inconsistent but should have measure of field including Sariska who should come on for race. The Ballysax looks very hot and exteremely keen to see Mourayan run against Ballydoyle's squadron.
Otherwise, the Spring Cup looks very difficult but Cordell might be worth a small wager and despite vowing to avoid sprints, like Inxile at Naas.
enjoy.....
