The Grand National 2012

Best of luck to AP  in his bid to make history this afternoon, adding the Grand National to the Cheltenham Gold Cup crown with Synchronised. While the master is well up to task, his mount will need to improve his jumping considerably.

Our hopes lie with Planet of Sound, a Grade 1 winner, placed twice this season in top handicaps and from a resurgent stable (Philip Hobbs -enjoying his now customary back end successes and near misses). There is justifable concerns about his stamina but at value odds (33s or bigger), he is worth a bet.

Others meriting a second look include According to Pete, The Midnight Club, Becauseicouldntsee and Giles Cross who appears well in, off an attractive weight (albeit his best form being on softer conditions).

enjoy...
