Tingle Creek

The Tingle Creek at Sandown is perennially one of the most exciting races of the season. Two miles at speed around Sandown's tight undulating track with the added bonus of the railway fences never fails to thrill. The roll of honour is laden with great names and multiple winners. Today's version only sees five participants but nevertheless looks as compelling as ever.

Well Chief returned to the spotlight a few weeks ago defeating the wounded Master Minded. He has had a fantastic career despite being plagued by injuries. He has to figure, if not bouncing, and it is worthwhile remembering that he chased Moscow Flyer and Azertyuiop up the hill a few years back before winning the Victor Chandler off a very high weight. Big Zeb has shown plenty of ability but he has to be 7/4 to jump a clear round, never mind winning; he looks poor value. Arkle winner, Forpadydeplasterer is very consistent but would prefer better ground. This leaves us with track specialist, Twist Magic who won this in 2007. He may not be entirely comfortable on the going but his form around Sandown suggests he is the one to beat. An added dimension to the race is that we will have the best 4 jockeys competing; AP, Geraghty, Timmy and Ruby.

enjoy......
