King George History

Fully expect history to be made at Kempton today with Kauto Star winning a fourth consecutive King George. From a punting perspective it is probably wiser to focus on the betting without market with the remainder of the field looking closely matched. Barbers Shop is probably the best of these with track and running style sure to suit. Nacarat was very impressive winning the Racing Post on this track and should go well also. However best to enjoy Kauto and hopefully his Haydock exertions have not left a mark.

The Christmas Hurdle also looks competitive and Go Native should not be dismissed despite Fighting Fifth farce. He may appear to be a bridle horse but worth noting that he did win Supreme Novices at Cheltenham.

The third grade 1 is at Leopardstown and looks to be the best race of the day. Sizing Europe has long been on my shortlist but his mettle will really be tested by Osana and Captain Cee Bee (a race to savour). There is also a good novice chase at Limerick (2.10) and Adrian Maguire's Mr Warbucks might be worth a look.

enjoy....
