A very moderate field for today's main event in marked comparison to the race's illustrious history. Lacdoudal is second fav despite not having won for three years!! Old codgers like Oodachee, Church Island and Briery Fox are touted everywhere!! Hoo La Baloo with his penchant for the track and his connections is entitled to go off favourite but would give the one progressive horse in the field, Hennessy, with AP on board a fighting chance. If the rain stays away, Alsadaa has a chance in hurdle and Twist Magic may ruffle Kalahari King.
A rather uninspiring end to a memorable season in the UK. Punchestown takes place this week with many of cheltenham stars chasing the excellent prize money on offer. End of season form is normally very dificult to assess and the best advice is to keep one's hand in one's pocket. However with plenty of rain forecast and Masterminded, Hurricane Fly, Quevega, Cooldine etc in action, it should be worth watching and hopefully no injuries will be suffered.
enjoy....
