The Festival is almost upon us. Four months of pondering, wondering, watching, dreaming are about to end! Track condition? Going? Weather? Form? Well being? Value? Who will run where? Trainer speak? Will it be as good as 2011? So many questions, worries, issues, about to be answered when the white flag is raised on Tuesday 1.30pm !!!
One of the notable aspects to this year's meeting is the number of short priced favourites. History tell us they all can't win but it certainly gives the races a definite shape and ought to allow for a dual betting strategy which served us well last year. The "good thing" list includes all 4 defending Champions. Could not resist the accumulator this morning (16s with Paddy Power) but the stats suggest one, if not two, will be dethroned.
However, don't expect Hurricane Fly to be beaten and he along with Sizing Europe and Noble Prince make up the week's multiple (track form!).
