"blown away.....?"

Probably not, but great to see the Hurricane back in action at Leopardstown today. Willie Mullins's superstar hurdler, if not the greatest of recent years is definitely the classiest, defends his Irish Champion Hurdle crown en route to Cheltenham and should get a decent test from stablemate Thousand Stars, progressive mare Unaccompanied and the so far underwhelming Oscars Well. Mrs Harrington returned to the winners enclosure yesterday and maybe her runner could be the one to trouble Hurricane Fly.

Otherwise, we have an very interesting novice chase (the Irish Arkle) where Flemenstar could go well and a hot novice hurdle where two of the better Irish horses in this division take each other on, Mark your Card and Boston Bob. Curiously both are from the same stable, and one supposes that their powerful owners are happy with this and no doubt like Joe Public, will discover how good their charges are this afternoon.

Heading to South Co. Dublin and will report on anything of note.

enjoy.....
