For many years, have been fruitlessly trying to back the winner of one the great handicaps, the Ebor at York. This season's renewal looks as competitive as ever, although lacking a number of potential improvers. Ballydoyle run ante post favourite, Changingoftheguard, who must be rated by Aidan O'Brien, as they have been discarding quite a few decent 3yos recently. However he is no value at 3s and I am going to go with a decent winner last time of traditional warm up race, Manyriverstocross. He has progressed steadily this season, should stay well and is in good hands. Elsewhere on the card, Showcasing is of interest in a hot Gimcrack.
Sea The Stars continued on his merry way to the pantheon of racing greats winning the International from a game Mastercraftsman. Again he appeared momentarily vulnerable when the pressure was applied but in truth he skated home in another track record time. Mick Kinane was coolness personified and his post race remark that Sea The Stars should come on for the race was illuminating. Greatly looking forward to seeing him in the flesh at Leopardstown.
good luck....
