Epsom Oaks 09

Rainbow View gets another opportunity to prove her ability as a 3 year old in a modest renewal. She was disappointing in the guineas on fast ground and with similar going at Epsom looks vulnerable despite being favoured by step up in distance. However on 2yo form she looks the one to beat as favourite Sariska, despite putting in a good show at York, does not really have profile of Oaks winner (by Pivotal out of staying mare). The Musidora looked like a strong field but not sure if they ran to their best. Perfect Truth and Phillipina seem as if they are seeking black type while Midday is poor value. That leaves Oh Goodness Me, who strikes as the best alternative to the market leaders. Following a decent third at the Curragh, she should benefit from the extra half mile and being by Galileo, should handle the track and appreciate better ground (not to mention Mr Bolger's input).

The Coronation Cup looks there for the taking. By whom, I don't know, but interested to see if Frozen Fire can recapture last year's form.

good luck....
