One of the grand old handicaps signalling the onset of spring and the return to turf. Despite competition from Dubai and Kempton, the Lincoln looks the most interesting race today. The Gosden pair look the most likely to progress but opposable in the prevailing conditions. Like 2 against field in Mia's Boy and Benandonner currently available at 20s and 16s on betfair. Mia's Boy has good form in book from early last season suggesting he the ability to win a race of this calibre and the well bred Benandonner could benefit from low weight.
Elsewhere Re barolo of interest at Kempton. Decent fields at Nad al sheeba should make for competitve racing but difficult to assess form and best watched only.
Tomorrow at Leopardstown sees 2 Guineas trials with dewhurst winner Intense Focus returning. However very keen to see how Bolger second string, Vocalised, runs as he was well touted by trainer in various interviews and ran with promise on second start.
Good luck...
